About Dutton Dance Academy
At Dutton Dance Academy, we are passionate about teaching ballet, jazz and tap to children of all ages! Our studio is located in Dutton, Ontario and we offer classes for toddlers, youth, teens and adults starting in January 2024. Our experienced teachers are dedicated to helping students reach their full potential and achieve their goals. We believe in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. Miss Amanda
Amanda is the owner of Dutton Dance Academy, a professional photographer, and a mother of 3! She is a versatile dancer who has trained in a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, and acro. She has performed and competed in many productions and competitions across Canada and the United States and has worked with renowned choreographers. Most notably, Amanda represented Canada on Team Canada's Dance team in Poland and proudly brought home Gold, Silver and Bronze awards. Amanda is thrilled to bring her expertise and passion to Dutton Dance Academy.
Our Teachers
Miss Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn began dancing at the age of 3 and quickly fell in love with many genres of dance. She started learning tap and jazz. As she got older she began learning ballet, lyrical, and hip hop. Kaitlyn joined the Encore Performing Arts Company at Nancy Pattison’s Dance World, traveling the city of Windsor and Essex County. She would perform at nursing and retirement homes, and outdoor festivals. While dancing, Kaitlyn has won numerous awards including a scholarship for the Encore Performing Arts. Eventually, Kaitlyn switched studios where she began to learn Pointe, and become an assistant dance instructor. Kaitlyn gave up dancing for some time when she went away to University to become a teacher. Currently, Kaitlyn is a full time Kindergarten teacher, and a mom to a precious 21 month old son, Archer. Her dream was to always find her way back to dance and she is SO excited to be joining the Dutton Dance Academy to share her passion for dance with the local community. She looks forward to inspiring the next generation of young dancers!
Miss Caitlin
Caitlin began dancing at the age of 3; she quickly fell in love with tap and never looked back. Over the years, she studied several disciplines, including jazz, acro-gymnastics, musical theatre, hip hop and mom and baby. At the age of 17, she became licensed to teach through the British Association of Teachers Dancing (BATD) and in 2015, she became licensed in the ADAPT Syllabus She was a competitive dancer prior to making teaching competitive and recreational dance her career from 2011-2018. Caitlin is very excited to be joining Dutton Dance Academy and bringing her love of dance to a new generation of dancers!
